Question:
I have a Husqvarna XT721F walk behind mower with an automatic choke. The engine is XT173-0084 Kohler.
The problem is that it chokes itself out after starting it up. I have replaced the choke vacuum diaphram and rebuilt the carb with a new kit. If I hold the choke open it runs fine. I can do this until the bi-metal spring warms up and opens the choke fully. The port in the carburetor for the diaphram is open and provides a small amount of vacuum. However it doesn't appear to be enough. If I apply another source of vacuum, the diaphram works fine and the engine runs well.
Any ideas?
