    Question:
I have had a YTH24V48LS lawn tractor with blower-assisted bagger for approx. 3 yrs. During this time, I have replaced the blower belt about 6 times, which is quite an expense, at $75.00 a pop. After losing the 2nd belt this spring, I decided tom take it to a full-service dealer (in Weaver, AL) to get it fixed right. At this point, they have had it for 8 weeks (EIGHT WEEKS), and it still isn't fixed. Supposedly, they are in contact with Husqvqarna, trying to find out what is wrong. My personal feeling is that the whole bagger design is a case Engineering Malpractice. Nevertheless, I am without a mower and my lawn looks like a hay field. I feel like my mower is being held hostage and don't know where to turn. H-E-L-P !!!!

I have had my mower for about 7 months. I opted for Husqvarna instead of the green machine because I heard good things.   This is my second belt is needed!  This is rediculous.  I had the unit installed at my authorized dealer.  I received no instructions on how to adjust or replace the belt that continues to break.  There aren't any instructions online.

That sounds like an all-to-familiar story.  I discovered (after burning-up about 4 belts) that I had to be EXTREMELY cautious about how full I allowed the bins to get.  Too full and the impeller would jamb, causing the belt to burn (and ruining it).  That's why I say that this design is "Engineering Malpractice".

Right now the shop that is woking on it (the 2nd shop) has got the belt staying on, but the bagger is not picking-up anything, and the input to the impeller just gets crammed with grass.  That tells me that the blower (impeller) is not being driven under load.  I think my whole spring loading mechanism is shot and is not properly tensioning the belt.  So far, no resolution, and this haas been going on since early June.  When I "borrow-back" my mower (without the bagger) every 2 weeks or so, I am faced with raking 1-3/4 acres.  It is NOT fun.
