    Question:
Three yease ago i purchased a 23 HP lawn tractor from Lowes building supply. When the tractor reached 80 hours it through a rod in one of the cylenders. I purchased a second mower just like it a YTH23V48 last year and now the mower has 70 hours on it and is now using 3/4 quarts of oil every time i mow the yard. I am guessing that this one will break down shortly. Am i doing somthing wrong or is it due to the yard being un-level. If the yard is the problem then please suggest a replacement that will hold up on my yard. It is approx 4 acres

Thank you for contacting Answer Army.

Sorry you are having issues with your Husqvarna mowers.

Extended use of the mower on an incline greater than 15° will result in possible engine damage.

Mow up and down slopes (15° Max), not across.

Maintenance of the engine oil is also critical. Dirty oil, low or no oil in the engine will cause catastrophic failure.
