    Question:
    Hello,
I have a question about the power steering functions on the trac snow throwers. I have some chronic shoulder problems and need a unit that I can steer very easily. How does the power steering function? Is one side locked/braked when turning or is one side just disengaged when the trigger lock is squeezed? I am not able to turn any machine by hand so this is a key issue.

    Thanks,

    Jon

       Jon,

Thanks for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

When turning this unit releases a spider gear attached to each wheel or, in this case track assembly.  When this gear is released, or opened, that particular side will not drive, however the other side drives as normal causing the unit to turn.

      Thanks again
