    Question:
    Good afternoon,
I purchased a self propelled mower from the original Sears in Lynchburg,Va.,on May 4th 2012. I have been quite pleased until
the self propelled handle stopped working. I took the mower to the local "franchise" Sears in Lynchburg. I was told the mower was under warranty and they would send the mower to their repair facility.I also understood replacement would be for any part other than normal useage. Two tires having to be replace in 1 year and the handle breaking is NOT normal use. This was on 8/5/2013. I filled out the repair ticket noting replace the front tires and repair the handle mechanism and attached all the parts as I was told any parts needed I would be charged. On my repair ticket I also noted my cell # and was told I would be called for a total on repair costs. Today,8/27/2013 I called as I heard NOTHING. I also included my email address. When calling the number(888-391-8867,all
    Details:

recieved was excuses as to why I was not called the first being my home number was disconnected as we have cell phone #'s only, which was noted on the repair bill. The service advisor advised that the repair ticket should not have been attached to the mower, as after the tec reviews,he then notifies the adman to place the call to the owner. There were NO calls and no emails to notify me and the mower was shipped back to Lynchburg with NO repairs. As I stated earlier, I took the bag of parts to the store for the reason stated before. I was told the repair would total $271.95 for two tires and the self propelled handle. I estimate 2x$20.00=$40.00 for the tires. $64.99 for the labor. The balance for the handle would be the remaining. Needless to say, I am shocked beyond belief on both the incompetence of the Sears repair center, but as important the total cost. I will NOT pick up the mower once it is reurned and more importantly, I will tell all of my hunt club members, my church friends, and anyone else I come in contact with, how very poorly your and Sears repair procedures are. Not that you care, I will also cancel my account with Sears and will never purchase your product again.
