    Hi Morgaj1,

This is the cutting blade that's available for your unit can be found on the trimmer accessories page:

Please find the instructions below and more details with images within the Owner's Manual link below.

      Fitting other guards and cutting attachments(326L, 326LS, 326Lx, 326LDx)

      • Fit the correct trimmer guard (A) for use with the trimmerhead. Hook the trimmer guard/combination guard onto the fitting on the shaft and secure with the bolt (L).

      • Fit the drive disc (B) on the output shaft.

      • Turn the blade shaft until one of the holes in the drive disc aligns with the corresponding hole in the gear housing.

      • Insert the locking pin(C) in the hole to lock the shaft.

      • Screw on the trimmer head/plastic blades (H) in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation.

I bought the 326 LS as well and my local Husqvarna dealer told me I could use the Maxi Model "s" blade skew number  7 391883 041093.  When I asked specifically  if the 326 LS would take that particular blade they said yes, and sold me the trimmer and blade along with other accessories.  The Maxi blade is 20.0 mm wide 1.6mm thick and has the 1" hole in the center 26T   If it does take this blade, do I need to have a different safety shield on the trimmer?

I have not used the trimmer yet, and wonder what I should do.  I've only purchased it today.

If the 326 LS takes the Model "s" blade do I need a different safety guard?

      Jeff,

The guard that came with the machine is the proper one to use.

        Great!    Thanks for your help.

So does that mean that I can use the Maxi blade Model "s" with my 326 LS like my local dealer said?

      Jeff,

      Two things,

      1) I stand corrected for safety's sake you will need the blade conversion kit part # 537 04 85-02 this is the least you would require. It comes with a sholder strap, J bar to avoid kick back and a combination guard.

      2) Unfortunately no you are not supposed to use the Maxi blade on that machine. It requires the dual handle bars, or bicycle handel bars. The 326 Rx will work with the Maxi blade but not the LS.

      Sorry for the confusion.

I too bought the 326L series trimmer and the dealer sold me a Carbon Tip Blade.  Is that okay for this and how do I install it on the trimmer?
