After a snowstorm, the worm gear turning the blower sheared...escalated

Question:
After a snowstorm, the worm gear turning the blower sheared off, on my ST-9-27-E snow thrower. I have been looking far and wide for this Husqvarna part # 506-6995-01.
My dealer tells me that this part has been discontinued, and I have not been able to find a used worm gear either.
This machine manufactured in Sweden is built like a tank, and I was hoping it would last a while longer. Ironically this main drive part has been taken out of production. I have been referred to Answer Army by Husqvarna customer service. Would you be able to help me find a new part tucked away on a dealers shelf somewhere, or find a used part out there. Thank you for any assistance in resolving this matter. Snowbound.
