    Question:
    I cannot get the string trimmer attachment to release the 128LD power cable. I used a star-hex key to take off the metal sheath that normally covers the attachment site. But trimmer attachment is joined to the cable an inch or two down into the trimmer attachment.

    Any advice on how to get the two apart?

      Are you writing about the flex drive shaft or an electrical cable? If is the flex it might take brute force to separate the two as may be already damage. Flex shafts are fairly inexpensive to replace.
