Walk Behind Lawn Mowers

I bought our push mower in canton illinois from a dealer and didn't want servicing it and wanted to take it to farmking who sells Husqvarna and the guy I bought it from says we cannot it will void the warranty is this true since farmking does sell Husqvarna
