I have a Husqvarna 268 chainsaw and I need a part for it, but i don't know what year it was made. The serial number is 6450494 and I was wondering if the year could be determined by it.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY

The 268 serial number provided indicates late 1996.

I am not sure why you would need this information had you given serial to yoru dealer and model they should have been able to look up all necessary parts.
