    Question:
I have a Husqvarna X-Series 125BV Handheld Blower. It doesn't have spark until I turn it over with a drill at about 100 rpm, then it has strong blue spark. I figured it was the coil so I ordered a new coil. Same thing, I've replaced the coil, spark plug, set the gap at .010 and .008, sanded the flywheel magnets and dried them off with acetone. Still the same thing. You can't turn it over fast enough with the starter rope to get it to spark. This blower is about a year old and looks like new! Can you help me? Thanks

Even it looks new it could have been straight gassed which destroys the piston and cylinder.

Normally it takes over 250 rpms for most self contained magneto coil system to even start to work. If your only turning 100 rpms and it is sparking then the coil is fine in that respect.

How is the compression? If below 100-110 psi then no matter how good the spark is it will not start.

Is flywheel to ignition timing correct?

Also check to see if it has a spark arrester and if so is it clean?

Have you tried direct priming the cylinder to see if hit will hit?

Even though 2 cycles are simple engines there is still several things can cause non start conditions. Usually it takes someone experience in their repair to troubleshoot the problem. It took me nearly 3 years of working on them to get fairly confident on their repair.
