    Question:
I have a PE 550 edger. No spark. Would that be more likely a bad on/off switch or a problem with the magneto? If it is the switch is there a way to get to it without taking the edger apart?

Thank you for contacting Answer ARMY.

You can find your local Weed Eater dealers for sales and service as well as manuals and a place to order
parts using the link provided http://www.weedeater.com choose the appropriate link at the bottom of the
    page.

Service Locator  (Canadian customers use postal code no spacing)
    Contact Us
    Download Manuals (Operator's and IPL's)
Order Parts (This is a third party company not Weed Eater)  or can contact local dealer.

Your local dealer is your best and fastest source of information.

There is no way to know where the fault is with out testing the components.  The PE550 is a complex unit and for that reason it is recommended that you take the unit to an authorized service center for any repairs.
