    Question:
I purchased your 223L about 2 mos ago. I filled it with high octane fuel and your oil at the 50:1 ratio. I have only used it two times since I just use it for touch up.
Both times I had difficulty starting it and it would stall when I released the throttle. The first time it stalled after running and using 8 oz of mixed fuel. I followed your starting procedure and pull firmly after releasing air by pressing the bulb. I was not sure if it necessary upon starting to move the throttle to the maximum and then release it completely after starting, in order to get it to idle properly?
After each use I refill the fuel tank to about 12 oz. fuel. The last time I used the trimmer was about 2-1/2 weeks ago and I stored it in the garage with the fuel tank on the floor on some newspapers. I was sure to tighten the fuel cap very well. Two days ago I picked up a fuel smell and noticed fuel stains on the newspaper. I rechecked the cap which appeared OK. I then reversed the trimmer so that it rests on the trimmer end with the fuel tank on top. So far, I do not see further signs of leakage. what is the proper storage position, there is nothing mentioned in your instruction sheets and where may the fuel have leaked from when the fuel tank was on the floor? Thanks for your help. I did not think a photo was needed for this but if you want more info I would be pleased to send it. Remember, I only used the unit twice, the second time it would not idle, so I continued to use it while manually keeping the throttle pulled partway. After a while it would not start until after it cooled and when it did start, it did idle OK. Who responds to these posts. I was under the impression that it was an expert and how long does it usually take for a reply? George
