Question:
My HU 700F mower was purchased and registered on 20 May 2013. After the FIRST use, I folded the handle to facilitate storage. On the NEXT use, after unfolding the handle (but before tightening the nuts) I discovered that the speed cable (431649E) casing was cut completely through (the metal cable was visible) and the safety bar cable (41530) was badly crimped at the same place. Is replacement of these two cables covered by warranty? I can probably replace the cables myself if I have replacement cables.
Details:
I understand the caution about making sure the two cables are properly routed during assemble (I self assembled) but i suggest your design team consider a better way of routing or anchoring these two cables so the assembly and/or folding of the handle can not easily crimp and cut these cables.
