i have husqvarna mz52le zero turn and the parking brake is stuck open. how can i correct this? thanks.

I have an mz 61 that had the same problem after 6 hrs ran time. I pulled so hard the handle bent,70yrs old. It had to go back to the dealer for warranty repair. I waited a month to get it back. I was told by the dealer this is a design problem and the brake handle must be pulled gently. It has worked fine doing that. If it is still in warranty let Husqy fix it.

it's my dads mower and yes it is still in warranty. the dealer is 39 miles away. was just hoping to not have to take it there. thanks.
