The best way to store your machine would be to run a minimum of 89 octane fuel with a stabilizer. Run the machine out of gas including whats in the primer bulb. Remove the spark plug and air filter and spray some fogging oil in the cylinder. Then re-install the plug and filter until next season. The first of the next season start with a new plug and air filter and a good mid-grade fuel.
This should prolong the life of all of your outdoor power equipment.
