    Question:
My mower had problems starting. I called an authorized dealer and he said he couldn't get to it for 40 days but that it was probably a problem with the gas. California gas has too much gunk in it apparently. He said to clean out the gas tank, and the carburetor and put new gas with an additive in it into the mower. So I did that, but when I cleaned out the carburetor a little brass spring dropped out and I have no clue where it dropped from. Now my mower will start, but not get up to a high rpm and eventually it just dies.

Any ideas of where the little spring goes?

I attached a picture of the spring.

Make, model, and spec number from would help as I haven't seen the spring before.

Ipl of the LC 221R says it should have a GCVLA0 S3B engine. Look-up the carburetor. No such part use in the carburetor. Foreign object in my opinion.

I didn't think was part of the normal carburetor setup but had to make sure.
