Riding Lawn Mowers

I have thoroughly read the instruction manual and all related and packaged literature with my H242SL lawn tractor. There was a hose attachment in the package with absolutely no information in the literature as to how to use it. How long. When?

Also, the bagging attachment fills the bag on the left side but not the one on the right. how do I make this work?
