    Question:
I gassed up and started a brand new 223L according to the manual. It starts and idols fine. However when I hit the trigger to give it gas the trimmer torques in my hand but the trimmer head does NOT spin. I shut off the engine and slowly spun the trimmer head by hand. It is making a scraping sound inside the shaft. What is my next step?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

This sounds like the drive tube is not seated either in the gear head or the clutch housing. Please take to your local authorized service center to have a dealer inspect and repair the machine.

You can find your local Husqvarna dealers for sales and service and parts as well as manuals using the link.
