Question:
Husqvarna Leaf Blower/Vac, Model 125BVx. I am a huge fan of Husqvarna products. I purchased a backpack plower 8 years ago today at a local Lowe's. I since added a push lawnmower, chainsaw, and 23"-inch hedge trimmer. I have found Husqvarna engines far exceed Craftsman products. I just added a leaf blower/vac (to use mostly for the vacuum to suck up the leaves in my mulch beds and culvert where a blower is not useful. The design of the blower/vac is very disappointing. You have to put the collection blower bag strap over your shoulder. The bag is so big. Within 5 minutes of using the vac for the very first time on Sat., Oct. 31st, the bag had a gaping hole - it didn't catch fire but essentially melted because it was to close to the muffler. Bad design choice on Huaqvarna's part. For the first time, I am disappointed with one of Husqvarna's products. I did call and the customer service department was more than helpful and will send out a new bag. I am sure they are aware of the problem or not but I am not sure if I'll keep the machine. If they improve the product, will I get a credit for the $210 (including tax) that I spent on this machine or will I have to buy a whole new machine at full retail? I want to stay loyal to Husqvarna but I don't want to lose my hard earned money of a product that I will continue to have problems with, I've got the government to reallocate my hard earned wages on causes and things that I don't agree with. I don't need Husqvarna to be taking their share either.
