    Question:
Today I visited a Husqvarna dealer regarding my (924SB-XLS , 96193003200, Product No. 961 93 00 32) blower about the unit not blowing snow at -15 degrees. This unit is equipped with the Hydro Gear Transmission. I was told that the problem was the friction drive. When I told him that the unit does not have a friction drive, I was told I did not know what I was talking about. All the blowers have frictions drives. I was told the friction drive was in the transmission. Yeah!! If the oil and grease affects the friction drive, it certainly be well greased in this location. I asked what type of oil is in the transmission and he did not know. I thought i could add a thinner oil for the winter. I was told I could bring it in and for 120.00 they would tell me.

I see on the web videos about the Husqvarna Blower working in any temperature. Well, that is plan ***. At -15 my machine will not move. I even dropped the auger housing, wrapped a rope around the pulley. I could not get it to rotate until it was warm up to -5 degrees. I used a Husky saw for twenty year and would not buy any other brand. Well this one is up for sale. The last Husqvarna product I will own.
