I have a three year old 54 inch cut. When I tried to mow and set the mowing level it is mowing so low that it is taking it down to the dirt no matter what I set it on except the very top one. Any idea what the problem is
Then very likely you have a bent blade or a tire that is nearly flat. I know rear tires can look like they have enough air when they are at near zero pressure. Just repair a JD737 where right rear had only 1 pound of pressure and the right front only had 3 pounds. Customer couldn't even unload the mower at the shop with his ramps and just barely with my arched ramps.
A bent blade or spindle shaft would generally cut whole width of the blade which in your case would be about 21 23 inches.
Flats tend tilt the deck to one side more causing a sloped cut pattern from side to side.
Bent blades is something I do see a lot of living an area with Bradford pear trees where roots tend be on the top of the ground.
Answer
Need a little more info as to which model and if it just one side, the middle or all the way across.

Thanks so much for the reply. It is a RZ46i/967277602. It seems to be cutting to deep on one side.
