48" with Kohler engine sat all winter in the garage; went to start it today; full throttle full choke- nothing; no sputter; nothing; battery is strong - ideas??
I don't mean to sound like a broken record but today's fuels can go bad in as little as 30 days gumming up carburetors so I would expect that to be the problem.
In my shop at one time it was remove, disassembly and soak the carburetor in carburetor cleaner. Now I remove, do a partial disassembly and clean in an ultrasonic cleaner using water and soap (usually Dawn Ultra for me). And then reassemble, install, and test. Much more environmental friendly and less damaging to the carburetor plastic and rubber parts.
Some carburetors do need gaskets and o-rings replaced which is part of the rebuild process.

And the answer to get fresh fuel; how does one 'un-gum' the carb?
