Chainsaws

I have a Mac 3216 32cc chainsaw. It always starts up exactly as instructed on saw. The problem is trying to re-start it after it has run out of gas. Is there a special procedure to start it when it is still warm. I used to have my boyfriend re-start it for me but he is no longer around. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated.
