    Question:
I have a 30" rear bagger riding mower and have installed a mulch kit. I would like to remove the rear bagger, how do rig it so the blade will engage without the bagger?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

I am not sure what model of mower you have.

Most of our mowers will operate with out the collection system in place as long as the accessory mulch cover or discharge in place. There are units that are produced that may require the collection system to remain in place at all times. Your local dealer would be familiar with the model you purchased and would be better directed to answer that question.

The model I have is the SRD17530 (280020) 30" rear bagger and the mulch cover is installed in the discharge unit to the bagger.  The mower works just fine as long as the bagger is in place, but will not allow me to lower the blade to cut if its not.  Since I don't need the bagger any longer, and its adds additional length to my mower, it makes a difference in tight places.  I bought it from Sears and they are clueless. I did see in the left rear wheel well, an electrical connection and a place where the bagger trips a plastic ??, both close together on the bagger track.  Do I just need to unplug that and permanently trip the plastic thing to do what I want?
