    Question:
I have replaced the air filter, cleaned the carburetor, replaced the spark plug and my mower will not start. No one seems to carry a Champion 8815 plug so I have had to get a compatible plug. When I attempt to start it there is no spark markings on the plug. Im assuming the plug is my problem. What are the best alternatives to the Champion 8815 plugs? And what else could I do besides, oil change, plug change, carburetor cleaning, and air filter change to ensure that it runs?

What are the best alternatives to the Champion 8815 plugs?

      Ariens - #21544030 (Champion)

      Kohler - #14 132 06-S (Champion)

      NGK - #DR7EB

      Autolite - #4164

And what else could I do besides, oil change, plug change, carburetor cleaning, and air filter change to ensure that it runs?

Check ignition kill switch operation. Depending the engine's number this maybe a simple on/off switch or part of the flywheel braking system. If not the plug or the switch then it is the ignition coil pack.

Thank you very much!!!  I will certainly check these in addition to the original problem!
