    Question:
I bought a PP4218avx a month ago. Ever since I got it, it has been a PITA to start. I have given up numerous time tiring to start it. After getting it to start it ran fine for two days(4-5 hrs) until it quit and it wont start again. Its getting spark and fuel. Is there anything I can adjust? Ive checked everything. Thanks, David

    David,

Thanks for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

Sorry your having trouble with your saw. You might need a carburetor adjustment. This has to be performed by an authorized service center due to EPA standards.

You can find your local Poulan dealers using the link provided by typing in your zip code and click search.

The type of issue you have will need to be looked at by a servicing dealer. Please use the link above to locate a Poulan service center.

Make sure to take your dated sales receipt with you if it is a warrantable failure the dealer will need to see it.

Your local dealer is your best and fastest source of information.

Maybe... I returned it and against my better judgement i bought another poulan. This time a cheaper model and some how its better than the more expensive model I had.  I guess you dont always get what you pay for... I dont get the case or extra chain but Ill take performance over some two dollar junk any day. Thanks.

PS No shop on the service locator would touch my old saw without paying some money... So much for that... You should offer manuals online for free to owners. Next time Im switching brands. Third strike youre out!
