    Question:
Vibrates and is Weak on the left side of the trottle. Sounds like a transmission failure
    Details:

I bought a zero turn RZ5424 in Feb of 2011. It is now Sept. of 2011 and I have a transmission problem. How can that be? What can I do? It is weak and vibrates on the left side of the mower. It sounds like I need a new transmission but this is practically brand new. Need advice and help regarding warranty on the transmission. Thanks!

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this experience.

I would suggest that you start by having the unit purged and check the belt for damage and proper routing. Then if the problem still exists you should contact the local Hydro-Gear dealer ( this may or many not be your local Husqvarna service center ). The Hydro-Gear transmission is warranted by the manufacturer Hydro-Gear.

Mine has the same problem.  It works fine for the first 20-30 minutes, then begins degrading to the point where left side won't even propel at all.  Very disappointing since it has only 70 hours on it.  I've purged, twice, - no joy.   Belt seems OK, and tensioner seems to be doing it's job.

Can anyone offer a fix (other than taking it in for service)?

      Thanks
