Sounds like a loose electrical connector. or broken wiring connection creating an open circuit. I have seen electrical clutch wiring to be broken in such a way that allows the clutch to work until it gets moved while the equipment operating.

The electrical shows this circuit to be fairly simple to check with wiring going from the electric clutch through the PTO switch and then the ignition switch. If you are not having any engine problems during the blade disengagement this would indicate that the ignition switch itself is likely okay.

As warranty coverage you need to contact your local dealer or service center and talk with them. You will need the original purchase receipt as proof of the date of purchase and they should be able to tell you if your still cover by the warranty.

Note: If not covered by warranty then any shop you trust can do the repairs this includes yourself if you feel confident in your repairs and abilities.
