    Question:
Am working on a Model 460 Rancher with no ignition spark. The saw is almost new but out of warranty. I have checked wires and switch etc and find nothing wrong. Ordered in a new module and still nothing. Wondering if I have two bad modules but assume the odds are almost nil. Is there any history with this model or am I stuck with trying a third module? Any advice or info at all will be welcome. Thank u in advance for any help.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

The 460 uses a polymer crankcase and as such uses a ground strap under the bottom mount for the ignition coil. You will need to make sure that you have a correct ground for the laminations. If your ground is faulty the ignition system will not be able to spark.

    Hope this helps.
