I have a 1 year old 128cd trimmer and it has started running poorly. It starts, but won't throttle up all the way, and it isn't getting enough power to really work. We have used it this sinner several times with no issues, and it's not an old gas issue.
Also, it won't start on full choke, only half, and then it wants to die when I switch it off, or it flips to off super easily when I bump the trimmer head with my arm. The way the engine runs is not effected in any way, it remains bogged down.

Answer
Check for plugged muffler spark arrestor. If clean then you're having carburetor problems and you need to have a qualified 2 cycle technician to look at it for proper determination of the problem.
