    Question:
    Husqvarna 450 vs. 450 e-series vs. 450 Rancher

I am looking to purchase a new chainsaw. Generally, it will be for homeowner use, a little bit of farm work (not much), and storm clean-up. I've landed on the Husqvarna 450 series. However, reviewing the specs and prices on the Husky website, I am having a hard time figuring out what the real differences between the Husqvarna 450, the 450-e, and the 450 Rancher are. I see that the 450 and the 450-e have "smart start" and that the 450-e has tool-less chain tension adjustment. The 450 is the lightest, so I'm leaning that way, but there has to be something more than that, right?

    Thanks in advance.

All three are generally the same saw just minor differences. Personally I would avoid the E series as that tool less adjustment doesn't stay adjusted like it should, tends to loosen on it on while your operating the saw.
