    Question:
    I just bought a Husqvarna YTH22V42
lawn tractor. I want to raise the cutting deck because it is cutting too
low. The manual says to do so by the adjustment screw on the left side
attached to the height level adjuster. I have done that but I can’t seem to
correspondingly adjust the right side. I am only getting a little over 3"
height which is too low. I live too far to take it to the dealer. Can you
    advise?

Have you made any adjustments to the front, leveling screw located below the front axle?

I just have, thanks. I discovered that the adjustment lever has a cam arm controlling the right side which can't be adjusted. Is there any reason my adjustment nut on the side adjustment arm doesn't want to tighten other than it may be cross threaded? Can  I go as high a I like on the adjustment?

I have a model YTH2348 with only about 20 hours which I purchased new about 3 years ago, but assume the deck adjustments are very similar.  Because of my experience with a couple of larger John Deeres, I dropped the deck, changed to mulching blades and remounted.  I don't use a Mulching Cover to contain the clippings.  The blades cut well and discharge almost no clippings without the cover.  Found that to be a pretty simple process.  While the deck was off, I greased the Spindles generously and squirted 30W oil into the Idler Pulleys and wiped them off.  After remounting, I leveled the deck to 3" as a base height (using a Stens Leveling Gauge - simplest way to verify blade height) by adjusting the front leveling screw first.  Then adjusted the left followed by the right side.  The nuts on the levelers are tight but I suspect they are similar to a Nylok style nut to prevent them from loosening due to vibration.  Next, I relocated the (4) rollers provided to prevent scalping.  As part of the maintenance, I had changed the oil, oil filter, cleaned the air pre-filter with mild soap and water (dried it), vacuumed the paper filter and changed the fuel filter.  Lastly, I checked the fasteners from the front bumper to the the rear.  Frankly, I had expected to find something loose, but that was not the case.  Hope this helps.

22/46, deck way to low at highest setting.....this lawn tractor's purpose in life is to mow the lawn nicely.  Because of obvious engineering flaws it fails miserably.  I see this complaint time and time again on thisandother websites.  What if any response has Husqvarna management made?  What is Husqvarna's position on this?  Is it going to take a class action lawsuit to get a response and solution?  I am losing patience and am perfectly willing to proceed accordingly, and will include a prayer for punitive damages as well as actual damages.  I demand a full refund or replacement with if need be an upgraded model which has properly designed deck height adjustments.  Please let me hear from anyone who is also aggrieved  by this flaw.
