Question:
Does Husqvarna even know how to spell Customer Service? Their products seem ok until you need information or contact info. I will NOT consider buying another Husq product since they provide NO contact information to call or parts list on their site. I DONT NEED AN OPERATOR MANUAL!!! I NEED A PARTS GUIDE FOR MY CHAINSAW AND YOUR SITE SUCKS FOR LACKING ONE!!!
I should have bought a STIHL and will next time!!!
Answer
James,
Which model are you needing IPL for? Also need to know what year it is as there are sometime several versions to chose from. Most are available on the manual site though it may take some searching at times as it not as straight forward as it need to be. If I can't find on the site I see if I can link you to parts site that has an online version.

Hi Eugene,
The saw is 450 bought in 2010. It is too bad Husq chooses not to easily supply this info on their website. I tried e-parts but they offered general stuff and limited diagrams..
Thanks for any info.

Here is the one they on their website: 2001-2010 models
/pdf/documents/HUSI/HUSI2010_AAaa/HUSI2010_AAaa_52_.pdf
I just used 450 Chain Saw and found the info along several different IPL versions of the saw for the different EPA versions.

Also here is a link to my Google drive file for the 450e workshop manual. Both 450 and 450e basically the same saw just mainly a difference in the chain adjustment.

I agree with you James. I have been a steady customer of Husqvarna products for years but since moving some operations to china their quality has decreased. I recently bought a 223R weed trimmer. First thing i had to do upon assembling it was take the throttle control apart and reposition the wiring. Then the manual said to tighten the four screws on the handle adjustment. Well there weren't four screws there was one 3 1/4 inch bolt. and to top that off there was no nut for the bolt. also the manual does not show the bolt, nut or wing nut adjuster all it has is Handle Adjustment
Now I've went on line and can not find how to contact Husqvarna to tell them this only this Ask Army. If this is how Husqvarna treats their customers and manufactures their product then I've just bought my last Husqvarana.
All i wanted was to get the nut to fit the 3 1/4 inch bolt so I could complete the assembly and that has become a chore

The 223 R was supposed to have the Bicycle handle setup. What you appear to have is a 223 L with the loop handle. The wing nut and clamp are list in that model's IPL.

I have found my mistake. The bolt goes from the top down and sets in the plastic wing nut adjuster indentation, I was putting the bolt in from the bottom figuring the nut went into the indentation in the plastic wing nut. Husqvarna still screwed up by having a different pic in their manual. After hours of looking at manuals and pics I have found the correct procedure.
Below is what i found
The box and manual says 223R, the picture on the box has a wing nut holder device and there is a bicycle handle included. This wing nut is not like the loop handle typical metal wing nut. This looks more like the piece of plastic at the end of the pull rope for starting but it has an indentation for a nut that the bolt goes into.
I have seen pics of the four screw setup with a plastic cover being held down by the four screws and another pic of the 223R with a large bolt going thru the plastic cover into the plastic wing nut on top described above. perhaps they changed design somewhere along the line
Here are pics of the plastic wing nut type - I have the first pic with 7,8,and 9 8 is what I am calling the plastic wing nut
couldn't download a pic from the manual but here are pics of each 223R with different holder setups one with a plastic wing nut device and one with a four screw cover which is the top one

I am sorry I forget that not anyone know this, too many years (30+) of working on equipment. An IPL is an illustrated parts list.
But never mind I see that you used eReplacementParts.com and I went there and I see the break down. I wonder find the other vendors don't have this IPL. Frustrating when trying to help or repairing equipment in the shop when you don't have the correct IPL to look at.
