    Question:
    I have a weed eater BV 1650 Blower-vac 165H

It will not run unless on half choke. I have rebuild the carb and also replaces all the gaskets even the head gasket which was bad but it still will not run right.

Thank you for contacting the Husqvarna/Weed Eater Answer Army site.

The need to keep the choke partially closed to get the unit to run indicates either of 3 probable causes:

First would just be that the carburetor is simply not flowing adequate fuel

Second would be low compression of the engine - should not be below 100 PSI cold for good operation

Third would be an uncorrected air leak (crankshaft seal, for instance) which lets air into the engine other than what is going thru the carb to pick up fuel.

If you are unable to resolve the condition, you may want to have an authorized Poulan/Weed eater service dealer do an evaluation of the unit for the cause of the lack of fuel condition.

Inspect the spark plug for signs of wear or damage. If the porcelain insulator is cracked, an electrode is burned away or damaged, or there is heavy carbon buildup at the electrode, replace the spark plug. To determine if the spark plug is defective, use a spark plug tester. You should see a strong spark between the tester’s terminals when the engine is cranking. If there is no spark, this indicates that the spark plug is defective and should be replaced.I bought same weed eater after this review http://jonsguide.org/best-hitachi-leaf-blower/ and still pleasure
