First Kevlar belts are not wrapped with Kevlar but regular cloth; it is the cording that is Kevlar. Personally I prefer Kevlar belts over industrial belt as they have a much less stretch factor and take impacts better. The cloth covering does help keep the wear of the belt down. Even industrial belt are most times cloth covered but there raw edge belt by most mower manufactures where they needing the extra grip of the rubber to metal contact or they are using cogged belts.

Other than this I can not find any info what belt type Husqvarna used but their pricing would indicate an industrial belt as Kevlar belt are usually higher priced
