    Question:
I have a Poulan Wild Thing 2375 Serial# 0309D101236-6. There are 7 Types of 2375's. How do I determine which Type my saw is? Also, how do I get to the throttle trigger and lockout mechanism? The lockout is not working, but the throttle trigger works.

Tnx for the serial number. It is a type 6.

As for the trigger and lockout removal remove the two highlighted pins in the following image. Please pay close the springs orientation as got installed correctly for thing to work as intended.

Eugene, thanks for the information. I have not removed the trigger and lockout yet, but I can see a flat metal spring on the right side of the trigger. In looking up the Trigger & Lockout Kit, there are two part nos. One is for Types 1-6 and has a plastic spring. The other is for Type 7 and has a metal spring. Will either kit work on my saw? Since the lockout is not working, the spring may not be in the correct orientation. Is there an illustration that shows the correct orientation?

Eugene, thanks for the information. Not sure if you saw my original reply or not. I mentioned there are two Trigger and Lockout Kits. One kit is for Types 1-6 and has a plastic spring. The other kit is for a Type 7 and has a metal spring. I have removed the two pins and disconnected the throttle linkage from the trigger. However, the trigger and lockout mechanism still will not come out of the handle. What do I need to do to remove these items from the handle to see what is wrong? Thanks, Jerry

Yes I did get post just working in my shop getting a 85 Honda TRX250 carb repaired.

I would normal stick with whatever IPL has listed as far as parts go. I would link the Poulan 2375 Service manual but don't this setup. What am linkin is the Husqvarna SM. Look under safety equipment and it should give some idea how comes apart and goes back together. Note it does cover different style handles so carefully follow the flowchart.
