    Question:
Husqvarna 224l dies when heats up.
    Details:

I have a husqvarna 224l.  Shortly after buying it, it would only run for about 15 minutes and then it dies.  It is impossible to start it again for about 30 minutes, but only runs for a few minutes before dying again.  I have checked the fuel filter, cleaned the air filter, and use fresh, ethanol free  gas.  Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't the "Answer", but rather additional information on my similar issue and what I have researched thus far.

I have the same problem with my Husqvarna 326.  It starts and runs fine for 15 minutes then dies.  Then I wait 5-10 minutes and it starts again and only runs for about 5 minutes then dies the it won't start again or rather I don't wait for an hour for it to cool and start again.  I have done as much research on the internet and it seems that most people state that the problem is the Coil Modulator.  Apparently with the engine gets hot it causes this part to stop sending a spark to the spark plug.

I have no idea if this is the correct fix or not but it seems a lot of people have this issue and yet I can't find anything on this website that answers this issue.  Maybe someone that has had this issues and fixed it will respond and provide the answer to the problem.  I don't want to just start replacing perfectly good parts to find the issue and the coil modulator isn't exactly cheap to just try and see if it is the problem.
