    Question:
I have a 130BT blower that is several years old. This weekend while using it, I was soaked with gasoline, apparently leaking from the grommet on the top of the tank. This is a very dangerous condition. Has the tank / grommet assembly been redesigned, or will I experience the same issue after a few seasons?

Part has been superseded to PN 579138301 but that doesn't mean it has been redesigned. What you're is quite normal across all manufactures. Our fuel additives are what mostly are to blame. From I have as specs on most rubber compounds there is no one fit all type.

I have installed fuel lines to only have to completely disintegrated within a week. Install the same and just the fuel oil and the problem goes away. Other times it is the ethanol. Just not one all time cause of the failure. I even seen some rubber o-ring just to melt while in storage.

And yes you will probably see this issue again.
