Probably is starving for fuel. Over the years some the carburetors I have rebuilt and tuned would be out adjustment a few days later as the diaphragms settled in. So it should be a simple carburetor adjustment to resolve the issue.

I think in addition to Eugenes' suggestion, I would also pull the muffler off which is really easy, and while the muffler is off check the spark arrestor for any carbon, and clean it If there is carbon in the screen (Note: This could cause the engine to Not run properly if the screen or exhaust port are blocked),

Then manually turn the engine over by hand until the piston is below the exhaust port, and with a flash light look across to the intake cylinder wall, and inspect for any damage, ie, scoring or vertical scratch marks from debris that may have gotten into the intake. Then raise the piston up, and check the exhaust side of the piston for any scoring or scratches. Also as you raise the piston up look at the piston ring and make sure there is no carbon around the ring groove If the engine is only 3 months old, it should look pristine, nice and shiney with No marks. Its an easy check and takes about 5 minutes to take the muffler off and put it back on, and will tell you alot about the condition of the engine. If the engine is good and nothing found as a problem, then your problem is definitely a Carburetor problem.

I hope this helps, and If you need more information then Please let me know.
