    Question:
Have a 445 18Inch Hus. chain saw, purchased at Lowes in Gadsden, AL. Have had it about one year.

Since day one it would run for anywhere from one to two tanks of fuel then shut down. No matter what you did it would not restart for 30 min to and hour or more. Very fustrating. Otherwise a very good saw.

What is the cure? does it have a thermal cutoff system for over heating? Most of the cutting I do would not seem to overheat a properly working saw. [I am a home owner].

I have tried cleaning the air filter, cleaning the plug, when this happens. No luck. Just have to wait it out.

    Thanks

Thank you for using the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have experienced this failure. My first direction is to have you take the chain saw to your local authorized Husqvarna service center. Since the saw should still be covered under warranty, it is not your responsibility to attempt to work on the unit.

Explain to the dealer what is happening, and ask them to call Husqvarna support if they need help identifying the failure.
