Question:
I have a new 435 chainsaw. It does not appear to be getting enough oil on the bar. Owners manual indicates there is an adjustment, but my unit looks different from the diagram. Some posts here say there is no adjustment. Does anyone know the answer?
Answer
The 435 ( rear handle design) has never been adjustable that i know of. Now if you're are referring to the T435 which is a top handle design then it should be adjustable. Two completely different saws.

I am not sure If you have solved the problem with your oiler, but here are a couple of solutions, that I have used.
1. Use thinner bar oil, Husqvarna makes both a regular bar oil, and a Winter weight bar oil. The Winter weight is a little thinner, and hence If you use that even in the warmer weather you will get more oil.
2. Old timers use to add a little kerosene to their bar chain oil, and you will have to experiment to see how much to use, but I would start with a small quantity of Kerosene ( like maybe 2-3 oz to a tank of bar chain oil), that will thin the oil, and you will get more bar oil on the bar.
I hope this helps

PS. I am Not a Husqvarna Representative or a Repair Service, Just an experimental chainsaw person.

Ernest, Also as Eugene stated, I do not believe there is an adjustable oil pump for the Model 435. I have two of the Model 435's, and they just have the fixed oil pumps, However using a thinner weight Bar oil does work.
