I am unable to find the problem with my Husqvarna 141 chainsaw that pulls back on the starter rope when trying to start. I have checked the woodruff key for obvious timing issue and no obvious problem there and no obvious excessive wear on the piston. What will cause the problem since it has been new. Unable to start the chainsaw most of the time due to kickback on the starter rope.
Answer
It might be that the electronic spark advance in the ignition coil has failed. These ignition are fairly inexpensive so it won't hurt to try that.
