    Question:
I and a friend have this same problem. Husky works good when it starts. unfortunately it is cold during snow season and unless you have a heated garage for storage starting is very iffy. With less than 6" it's much easier to just shovel it. I'll be trading in soon for whatever they will give me. Guess what make I won't even consider in the future. This has been an on-going problem since the 2nd year. I even had it refurbished last year by a husky dealer. It started good the rest of the season now back to same old problem.i use non-ethanol gas and store it according to manual recommendations. it started ok a month or so ago when it was 4o degrees but today at 20 I wasted 30 min. trying to no avail. Model st224.

I am 67 and have had a Toro, a troy-Bilt and something from Sears in my life.. All always started. None were kept in a heated space.

Probably is choking problem. I have on some engines over the years where the choke vane requires modifications when it comes to cold weather starting and it not just snowblowers. I have repaired large ATVs and UTVs that would not start below 40 degrees,

The key is getting it choke enough without flooding. Most repair shops do not have a walk-in freezer area to chill this engines to the below freezing temperatures. It like the Stihl hedger I got in Monday that will not start and run properly at 32F. I am having to wait overnight for the temperatures to drop but they will drop not below freezing overnight here for a couple days to do the test.
