    Question:
I just purchased a new Poulan-Pro Lawn Tractor PB195H46YT from Ace Hardware. All is fine except that I have trouble moving the blade clutch lever far enough so that the cutting blades continue to rotate.
I have less than normal strength in my hands and arms do to a previous accident injury and it takes all of my strength to fully rotate the clutch lever.
Is there a way that this mechanism can be modified to reduce the effort that is required? Maybe a less powerful spring connecting the cable to the the idler mechanism?
    Thank You
    Walt

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you are experiencing this issue.

There is no adjustment for the tension on the PTO engagement lever. If it were made looser, that may allow the belt to slip as it would not have enough tension on the belt.

There are other alternatives for you that you may want to consider, such as a different mower with an electric PTO clutch, these you just pull a button up to engage the clutch and push the button in to disengage the clutch.

    Good luck.
