It need the carburetor repaired but it cheaper to just replace the carburetor on this one as they be gotten thru Amazon and other sources for less than $25.00 if you can change it yourself. PN 545081848 which is Zama C1Q-W40A

I understand that is costly for most shops to repair these as they got minimal charges and their labor rates are high. Plus this trimmer lists for $180 which makes borderline cost effective to repair if you need to use a shop to repair them as most charge from $70 to $100 shop labor per hour.

One thing you can do is find a fuel oil that contains stabilizers for the fuel oil that I use and sell does and I seldom have problems storing equipment over the off season months. Now several years still be problem as just anything can happen then. Some of the fuel oils out there will destroy fuel line and fuel system parts. I had customer that was the OEM fuel oil and had the piston ring constantly sticking, I change him over to the Pro Mix that I sell and he hasn't had any problems since. He actually gave me one of the trouble blowers and I have been using it in my shop for the last 5 years but I did need put on new plastic fuel lines this Spring.
