I need to see what I need to do in order to change the motion belt, not the blade belt. RZ 4623 with Kohler engine.
Answer
Two things need to be done.
Remove the idler pulley tension spring and remove the electric PTO clutch. Then you simply slip the belt off the engine pulley and the hydro pulleys. Pay attention the v-belt routing so you get back on right the first time.
When reinstalling the PTO clutch use anti seize compound on the crankshaft and torque the retaining bolt to 50-55 ft-lbs since it has a 7/16-20 bolt.
