Question:
I have a 3 yr. old YTH24V48, and it has been quite good...until this year. I have shredded 2 deck belts this year, and I think I have found the cause. One of the idler pulleys...PN 532197379, had quite a bit of "wobble". It is mounted to the deck with a single screw...PN 817490636, which screws into a rather thin 1/8" mount, and this screw worked loose, and damaged the threads on both the screw and mount. This, IMO, is a manufacturing flaw. I got a new screw, redid the threads in the mount, and added a Nut/lock washer
to the bottom of the screw, so it will hopefully stay tight...time will tell, but ANY of the pulleys coming loose is certainly a good reason for the belt to break.
Answer
I would just changing the nut and lock washer to a flanged nylon lock nut. These have a flat washer design as part of the nut so you a wider support area and nylon provide the anti vibration resistance similar to the lock washer.
And I had at least one these here in my shop too and that's why I used the above nut setup.

Yes, it's pretty obvious that "Some" method be found to more securely lock this "screw" down, in order to keep the idler from working loose and causing belt damage. I just used parts I had on hand in my workshop, and I will keep a close eye on this idler and try another method if I see any further loosening.
I was a bit disappointed when I saw how this area was manufactured....I'm surprised that Husqvarna let something like this escape their "quality control".
