    Question:
I have a LC221A AWD lawn mower and I have found that grass is going into the front and rear drive areas. I can't get this grass out w/o removing the front cover and reaching into the back area. The problem is I can't remove the front cover completely because one of the bolts is under the front wheel drive gears. The back bolts are at least easier to get to.

Is there a solution for preventing grass from going into these areas? I don't know why you don't have a cover over the drive area under the blade.

I sure can't recommend this law mower to anyone when it has this problem.

I agree I have the same problem.  I also have the wheels lock up in drive and it is hard to push or pull mower. these are weak areas in the mower operation. Any ideas please pass them on.

You have to remove the belt and drive unit covers as the grass gets packed in this area.  the pulleys get clogged with grass which needs to be removed.  the front cover has a hard to reach bolt but with work you can get it out. You may want to modify how this cover is attached so you can remove easier. the designer does not cut grass often as this is a weak area.  good luck to all.

I would think Husqvarna would make an attachable plastic cover, but don't know of any. I made my own and drilled holes that mounted it by using 2 screws holding the front cover on.
