    Question:
Bar oil will not stop coming out of oil port when 445 is not running.
    Details:

I have owned a 445 for just over a year now.  Just after the first few times I used it I noticed it was leaking bar oil out the bottom.  I feared it was cracked somewhere. I cleaned it all up and left the bar off overnight. The oil seems to just continue to come out of the oil port on the side where the bar presses against it. It still oils the bar well while running it just does not seem to stop coming out once shut off. Even once I put the cleaned bar back on I could see after a while the oil if running out of the bar & chain and dripping.  I tried to leave it off and loosen the cap thinking it had pressure in the tank but still no luck. The saw runs great but it is becoming a messy and sticky situation. Any ideas? I noticed reading online this seems to be a problem several people are having with the non-adjusting models.  Hoping you all have a solution to the problem by now. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have had this concern.

Husqvarna recommends and per the manual that the oil and fuel be removed for long term storage.

The tank vent design is allowed to relieve vacuum it however does not relieve pressure. As the saw cools the oil contracts this can cause air to pass the valve then as the saw warms up the air can not escape causing pressure on the oil this pushes the oil through the oiling system. Please empty the fuel and oil from the saw at the end of each use.

They all seems to do this.  I don't think it indicates any damage.  My 445 has the same problem.
